Joseph E. Cherven

Joseph E. Cherven ""Joe"" Age 60, at rest Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by his brother David Cherven and his sister Michelle Cherven, uncles and aunts Ray and Viola Stimac, Carol and Jerry Bebar, Agnes (late Herman) Zefren and Josephine (late Rudolph) Stimac, and, Kay (Chi-Chi) and Ken Larson. Also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph E. and Marie A. (nee Stimac) Cherven, and by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Joe was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of South Wilmington Fireman"s Club, and he loved fishing and model railroading with his friends and relatives. He also loved his fire works. Joe will be dearly missed by his family and friends, for he touched everyone who met him, especially the Friday night cook outs with the guys down by the river.

A celebration of Joe"s life will begin with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at St. Mary Nativity Church at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at St. Cyril Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home, then a procession to church from Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life
