Joseph E. Bajt, Sr. ""Big Joe"" Age 85. At rest Sunday, February 12, 2006 at his home with his loving children by his side. Loving father of Beverly (late Wayne) Kopman and Joseph (Kathleen) Bajt. Dearest grandfather of Joseph C. (Amanda), Ryan and Matthew Bajt; three sisters, Anne (late Howard) Roberts, Antonia (late Frank) Stec and Theresa Bajt; two brothers, Frank (Mary Ann) and George (late Edith) Bajt. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his wife, Lucille R. (nee Rittof) Bajt (2002); his parents, Jacob and Frances (nee Janes) Bajt; four sisters, Mary Vidmar, Frances Klakovich, Evelyn Achterberg and Rose Bajt. Joseph was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. He retired in 1989 as a Bricklayer after 50 years of service. Joseph served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and was stationed in Alaska. He was loving and caring father and grandfather who was always caring for his family. A special thank you to his brother-in-law, Len Rittof for his weekly visits, and Joseph's other relatives and friends, who frequently stopped to visit. Also, a special thank you to Rita Anguiano, for her care and support. Visitation will be WEDNESDAY MORNING from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
