Jorge Diaz

Jorge Diaz, age 49, at rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Silver Cross Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Maria Guzman-Diaz; his two daughters, Ariana and Daisy Diaz; his mother, Margarita Diaz; siblings, Manuel (Sandy) Diaz, Consuelo (Abran) Guzman, Elvia (Roberto) Guzman, Miguel (Rosa) Diaz, Rafael (Trinidad) Diaz, Luis (Trina) Diaz, Juana (Angel) Villagomez, and Gerardo (Bere) Diaz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his father Guadalupe Diaz.

Jorge was born in Cuanamuco G.T.O. Mexico and graduated from Joliet Central High School. He enjoyed playing soccer when he was younger and playing billiards as he grew older. Jorge was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, who loved spending time with his family. He was known for his great humor and uplifting personality. Jorge will be greatly missed.

A celebration of JorgeA�??s life will begin on Friday, June 14, 2013 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to Our lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 205 East Jackson Street, Joliet IL, 60432, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet.
