John P. Sternisha

Age 65. At rest on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at his residence with his family and friends by his side.
Survived by his wife Linda K. (nee Powell); children Kelly, Erik and Alan; granddaughter Caitlin; brothers and sisters Alice (late Joseph) Valek, Ann (Robert) Mulvey, Theresa (late Norm) Wittkofski, Michael (Marilyn), Joseph, George (Maryann), Walter (Sherrill), Pauline (Alan) Mihelich. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Born in Joliet, John was preceded in death by his parents Frank J. and Anna Fojut (nee Galajdik) Sternisha; brothers Joseph (Pearl) Fojut and Frank E. (Judith) Sternisha.
Retired from Maywood Proviso State Bank as Vice President and Trust Officer. John was a Marine veteran, member of the Old Timer"s Baseball. He coached several years at Troy Baseball fields and loved gardening.
