John A. Rutherford Jr.

John A. Rutherford Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home in Morris, IL.

He was born on June 24, 1945 to the late John A. and Violet (nee Hamilton) Rutherford Sr.

John was a loyal supporter of the Irondogs Motorcycle Club and will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter: Skylar Hope: sisters: Marilyn (Donald) Hoffman, Isabelle (John) Brown, Jean (Francis) Reardon, Joanne (Raymond) Fegerle and one brother Alvin D. Rutherford.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of almost 40 years Penny (nee Bennett); daughter: Kimberly (Paul) Schwab; two sons: James Rutherford, Patrick (Sarah) Rutherford and his former daughter in law April Rutherford. Also surviving John are his grandchildren: Megan (Kyle) Sallis, Kylee Rutherford, Aiden, Hunter and Lydia; great grandchildren: Mason and Kenzie. He is also survived by his sisters: Mary Lou Rutherford, Shirley (John +) Alden and several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.M at Tezak Funeral Home.

Cremation services were held in accordance with his wishes.
