John J. Nurczyk Age 79 at rest Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Silver Cross Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Geraldine E. (nee Rimmke) Nurczyk.
Loving father of John (Nancy), Donald (Sharon), Robert (Gwentch) Nurczyk and Delmar (Jennifer) Miller. Dearest grandfather of eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (late Frances) and Stanley (Olga) Nurczyk; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by his parents, Jacob and Frances (nee Malz) Nurczyk; two sisters, Helen Mussiario and Josephine Swandak; four brothers, Benjamin, Steven, William and Francis Nurczyk.
John was born in Joliet and a life long resident. Retired as an Iron worker Local 444, after 25 years and Purex Products, after 20 years of service. Member of Belmont Athletic Club.
A celebration of life will begin with chapel prayers in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Mary Magdelene Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
