John Clayton Hackett

John C. Hackett, age 74 of Joliet, passed away August 22, 2008 surrounded by his family at Deerbrook Care Centre with Joliet Area Hospice care. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn, their three sons, Steven (Laura), Dennis (Peggy), and Kevin, two step-sons, David (Wanda) and Glen (Cathy) Bernard, 10 grandchildren, his brother Harold (Phyllis), and sister Janis (Howard) Eads of Charleston, IL.

John was a retired member of Local 150, Operating Engineers and past officer and coach of Rivals Little League and past president of Ingalls Pony League for 7 years. In 1980 John and Evelyn moved to Naples, FL where he was foreman for Mitchell & Stark Const. Co. until he retired in 1999. In 2004 they moved back to Joliet.

Cremation rites were accorded.
