John M. Donahue Jr

At rest Friday August 12, 2011. Survived by his sons John M. Jr. (Laura), Mark A. (Nancy), Jason W. (Angela), Christopher P., Two grandchildren Benjamin and Caitlyn, sister Mary Camille (Wayne) Barnett as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife Janet M. (nee Kunke) Donahue, parents John W. and Frances (Evertz) Donahue. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Assistant Department Manager at the Plainfield Menards. Member of the Goose Lake Club. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to St. Jude"s Children"s Hospital and Society of Little Flower. John was an avid gardener and loved to spend time in his yard and garden. His yard was his passion. On the Side, John loved to bake and cook for his family and he put a lot of smiles on people"s faces with his famous potica.

A Celebration of Johns Life will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM, then in procession to St, Mary Nativity Church on Wednesday August 17 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 to 8 PM.
