John J. Considine

April 27, 1935 — April 18, 2019

John Considine 83 (affectionately known as Jack), passed away on April 18, 2019 at home in Crest Hill, IL.

He was born on April 27, 1935 in Chicago, IL to John and Hanorah (nee McInerney) Considine.

John married Fayette (nee Coffey) in Chicago, IL. They were devoted to each other and happily married for 66 years. John grew up in Chicago, IL. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Chicago, IL in 1953 where he was the Treasurer of his class.

John is survived by his spouse, Faye of Crest Hill, IL; his brother, Martin Considine of Forest Park, IL; his son, John (Linda) Considine of Crest Hill, IL; daughter, Joanne (John) Baker of Bolingbrook, IL; son, Thomas (Machel) Considine of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Colleen (Gary) Gocken of Aurora, IL, son, Brian (Sharon) Considine of Elgin, IL; his 11 grandchildren, Lucas, Cara, Jared, Sean, Danielle, Amanda, Caitlin, Brendan, Mackenzie, Ryan and Luke; his 7 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Charlie, Cara Faye, Patrick, Hanorah, Archer and Reagan; with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a devoted, kind man that lived for his family and was beloved by anyone who met him. He was always generous with his time, and talents at home or work. He was devoted to his faith and lived it fully every day by his own actions. He has been the ultimate role-model for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We learned everyone needs to be given the benefit of the doubt, of manners, of selflessness, of unconditional love, and how to be a complete gentleman.

John worked for Kenny Construction Company for 46 years retiring in 2004. He started as a laborer and member of Laborers Local #2 Union and remained so for over 50 years. He worked his way through the company to General Superintendent. He participated over the years in many leadership positions including holding all positions of the ISEE Great Lakes Chapter retiring as the President.

John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Hanorah Considine; his brother, James Considine; his sister, Nora Ann Esterlen; and niece, Maureen Considine.
