Age 89, born in Philadelphia, PA on January 24, 1919. Passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Veteran"s Home in Manteno, IL. Lifelong resident of Joliet, IL. Served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Retired from Reynolds Aluminum in McCook, IL. John was an avid fisherman, loved rose gardening and playing cards. Preceded in death by his father, John Bazaar; mother Caroline Bazaar Caldwell (nee Vonch); brothers Paul, Edward, Benedict; and sister Carol Lewis. Survived by his sisters Agnes Marie (Richard) Maske, Dorothy (Jack) Polyak and brother Albert (Barbara) Bazaar. Memorials to Hospice or donor"s choice in John"s name would be appreciated.
A Chapel Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2008. Visitation will also be at the Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Private interment at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery.
