Age 63 of Joliet passed away Monday October 29, 2007 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center after having fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 29, 1944 in Joliet to Olive and Joseph Jeffrey.
She graduated from Joliet Township High School and worked as a bank teller at Joliet Federal for 5 years. Joen spent most of her life and time mothering her five sons and their families, nurturing her husband, and caring for her family. Her beloved pastimes included decorating Christmas trees for Cornerstone"s Festival of Trees, and visiting Sanibel Island with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Joen is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert Rogina; her sons, Michael (Susan), Donald (Christine), Daniel (Kelly), Christopher, and Kevin Rogina; her grandchildren Ryan, Benjamin, Spencer, Emily, Ethan, Jack, and Ava; and her brother Don (Linda) Jeffrey.
The family wishes to thank all who have been such a support to Joen her doctors and nurses (particularly her very special chemotherapy nurses whom she thought so much of), her caregivers, and her extended family. We have lost a loving and caring soul, whom we will miss greatly until we are all together again.
Donations to Cornerstone Services in Joen"s name would be appreciated.
