JoAnn Clennon, (nee Perconte), age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018.
JoAnn is survived by her loving children, Carol (the late Chip) Kodiak, Judi (Ed) Kelley, Jack (Nancy) Clennon, Debbie (Dan) Lambert, and Maureen (Ron) Hubbard; grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Kodiak, Cari (Bryan) Pyka, and Cris (Teresa) Kodiak; Heather (Jeff) Arnsperger, Melissa (Mike) Wasielewski, and Matthew (Jill) Kelley; Kelly, Molly, and Colleen Clennon; Katie (Aaron) Bloomfield and Daniel (Kelley) Lambert; Bridget and Carolyn Hubbard; 13 great-grandchildren and one to soon join the family; sister-in-law, Kathy Broderick; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, William J. Clennon (2004); parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Carbone) Perconte; siblings, Frank (Evelyn) Perconte, Jack (Mary) Perconte, and Mildred Pirc-Dutkiewicz; son-in-law, Chip Kodiak; sisters-in-law, Pat Webster and Betty Olson.
JoAnn was born and raised in Joliet, attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from St. Francis Academy. JoAnn married the love of her life, Bill in 1946 and moved to Minooka, IL where they raised their 5 loving children. JoAnn retired from many years of service at Christian Brothers Services. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet. Throughout the years, she proudly supported her children and grandchildren, attending sporting events and social activities within the St. Francis Academy and Joliet Catholic High School communities. Some of her greatest joys were playing tennis, golfing, playing bridge and attending Notre Dame Football Games with Bill. JoAnn will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
JoAnn spent her last 10 years at the Inn at Willow Falls and the family is forever grateful for the love, care and friendship that have been given to her and her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in JoAnn’s name to the Cathedral of St. Raymond or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
A celebration of JoAnn’s life will begin on Monday, January 22, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:20 a.m. then driving in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Minooka. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
