Age 71. Exceptional Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend, Joan M. Frieders, a lifetime resident of Joliet, Passed at the age of 71 on June 3, 2008 at the Joliet Area Hospice Home From a long courageous battle from Breast Cancer. Her strength and Faith were admired by all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her Loving Husband, James P. Frieders, daughter and friend, Cynthia Frieders, of Joliet, two sons Jeffrey (Connie) Frieders of Braidwood, and Joseph (Susan) Frieders of Minooka. Joan was the very proud grandmother of Kyler, Jordyn, Danielle, Brodie and Kade Frieders, loving sister, Doris Tadey of Lockport and a dear Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a dear true friend to many.

Preceded in Death by her parents Joseph and Frances Krall, dear sister Lois Lindstrom. Joan was born in Joliet in 1936. She Graduated in 1950 from St. Joseph Grade School. In 1954 from Joliet Township High School. Joan worked for Illinois Bell until1963. Joan Married James P Frieders on June 3, 1961 and was Blessed with 47 years of Marriage. Joan was a lifelong member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet where she was married. Joan was also a member of the Rosarians. Joan was a warm, giving, loving person who was so very proud of her family. Her warmth and kind heart will be with us always.

From where Funeral Services will be Saturday June 7, 2008 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery Visitation and Video Tribute Friday from 2 to 8 PM. Family invites friends and relatives to join them for the rosary at 6 PM.
