Jewell (Button) Fosdick

Jewell is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Fosdick; loving daughter, Kimberly (Thomas) Karas; cherished grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Karas; sister, Joan (the late Marvin “Red”) Olson; nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alta (nee Bath) Button; and one sister, Carole (late Robert) Maple.

Jewell was born and raised in Joliet. She retired from Orchid Cleaners after working there many years for Chuck and Rose Lenhart. In her free time, Jewell enjoyed painting ceramics, going out for lunch with her dear friends and vacationing in Florida with her family and special friends of “The Elvira Group.” She also enjoyed spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.

Special thanks to the many staff members of The Parc at Joliet and the Joliet Area Community Hospice for their loving care and friendship.

A celebration of Jewell’s life will begin on Thursday, November 12, 2015 with a service in the funeral home chapel to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet.
