Jesus Olmedo

Age 65, entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 with his loving family by his side.

Jesus is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Celina Olmedo (nee Arias); children, Norma (Alejandro) Aguirre, Jesus (Melissa) Olmedo Jr., Griselda; grandchildren, Adrian, Nadia, Noelia Aguirre; sisters, Guadalupe Zamudio, Trinidad Olmedo, and Eufemia Alvarado; and brother, Francisco Olmedo; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Refugio Olmedo (nee Zamudio); and brother, Elias Olmedo.

Jesus loved spending time with his family, especially his new granddaughter. He had a passion for gardening. He loved seeing his crops go from the field, onto the plates of his family and the people that he loved. He was a simple man who did not need much to be happy. He brought joy to the people around him and received joy from all of those people in return.

A Celebration of Jesus' life will begin with a visitation on Friday October 11, 2013 from 3 – 9 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet. On Saturday, October 12, 2013, prayers will begin in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then moving in procession to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 205 East Jackson St., Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
