Jessica Giannerini-Thomas, 37, of Urbana Illinois was taken away suddenly from us on May 23rd 2016. She was born December 3rd, 1978, in Joliet, a daughter of Guy Giannerini and Terri Wiles.
She was a role model and leader for Girl Scout troop 2043 in Urbana, and an active member of the Yankee Ridge Parent Teacher Association. She served as a coordinator of the Illinois Youth Survey with the Center for Prevention Research and Development, part of the University of Illinois, School of Social Work. She was a pillar of strength for her family and community.
She is survived by her daughter, Joli; her parents, Guy Giannerini of Riverside, CA and Terri Wiles of Tampa, FL; her sister, Jennifer Stavros of Los Angeles, CA; her brother, John Giannerini of Indianapolis, IN; her Grandfather, Aldo Giannerini of Dwight, IL; her Grandmother, Mary Munchalfen of Tampa, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Jessica’s life will begin on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
