Jerald E. Saragossa, age 51, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 12, 2017.
Jerry is survived by his beloved companion, Chrissy; best friend, Ronnie; loving daughters, Sylyna (Matthew) Huff, Anjelica (Megan) Hendry, Emily Hendry, Brooke Avila and Brandy Ficarella; grandchildren, Marjyah, Ameilyiea, Dean, Dominic, Denalii, Channce, Matthew, Roman, Antonio, Mateo, Dannika and Jaymes; father, John Saragossa; siblings, June Saragossa, John Saragossa, Janet Gonzales, James Saragossa and Judy Griffin; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his mother, Joan Saragossa and sister, Julie.
Jerry was born in Joliet, IL and was a lifelong resident. He attended Joliet East High School where he graduated in 1983. He later went on to join the Laborers Union Local 75, where he dedicated 30 plus years of his life. Jerry loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will begin on Friday, June 16, 2017 with a prayer service in the funeral chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
