Jeanette D. Landvogt (nee Bricknell), born February 11, 1932, at rest on December 17, 2015.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Thomas R. Landvogt; a daughter, Carol D. Landvogt; parents, Jess E. and Bess (nee Hrdlicka) Bricknell; a sister, Bernice Robishaw; a brother, Jesse Bricknell.

Jeanette is survived by her children Janet R. (Thomas) Usellis, Thomas F. (Lisa) Landvogt and Rita M. (Jeff) Duckworth; grandchildren, Jennifer (Devon) MacKay, David (Caitlyn) McEllis and Daniel (Courtney) Usellis, Thomas D. (Becky) Landvogt and Matthew Landvogt, and Jacoby (Macklin) Andrick; great grandchildren, Seth Stone and Isaac Landvogt; and a sister, Ruth Vesely.

Jeanette was a homemaker and made caring for her family her life’s work. She traveled extensively in the U.S. with her husband, enjoying camping and hiking. Reading and music played big roles in her life and even as her memory faded, she could sing the lyrics to almost any song she would hear. Jeanette loved all animals and spent hours watching and feeding her backyard birds. She adored the family’s pets and her many “granddogs” and “grandcats.”

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanette’s name to the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Jeanette’s life will begin on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 with a service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3-9 p.m.
