Age 71, at rest on Thursday, September 25, 2008 with her loving family by her side.
Loving mother of Corinne A. (Jerry) Drauden and Jeffry (Chris) Peterson; dearest grandmother of Megan and Robert Drauden, Ryan and Ashley Peterson; one sister, Donna (late Don) Cunico; one brother-in-law, Raymond (late Patricia) Lukanc Sr.; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by her first husband, James Peterson and second husband, Anthony Montes; parents, Faye (Stan) and Lucille (nee Sinclair) Stanford; one sister, Patricia Lukanc.
Janice was born in Tonica, IL and spent time in the Rockdale, Florida and Joliet area's throughout her lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. At Janice's request cremation rites were accorded.
The family of Janice A. Montes invites relatives and friends to join them for a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will also be on Sunday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
