Janet L. Gurka (nee Wadsworth) At rest Friday, November 25, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Survived by her loving children, Joseph Jr., James and John (LaFonda) Gurka; dearest grandmother of Amy (Steve) Garcia, Matthew, David, C'Monte, Cevion, C'Mari and Cefon; a great granddaughter, Maranda; a brother, Glen Wadsworth; two sisters, Helen Haney and Carol Csikos. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gurka Sr.; a grandson, Brian; her parents, Glenn and Mildred (nee Skinner) Wadsworth; her sisters, June E. Powers, Jane Todd and Nina Mario Garrett; and her brothers, Marl, Orrin, Norman, Harry and Gordon Wadsworth. Janet was born in Joliet. She was a member of Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Ladies of the Moose. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Joe's Hot Dogs East.
