James W. Mead

James A�??JimA�?i�� W. Mead, age 53, of Joliet, born January 16, 1959 and at rest peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Christine L. (nee Sherrow); his adoring children, Jimmy (Katie Regina), Melissa (Tony) Kraus, and Megan (Joel) Roza; dear Papa of Addison, Damien and Gage; step-Papa of Mackenzie, Cailyn, Alison and Andrew; his mother, Joule Heck-Mead; siblings, Donna McCullough, Dianna (Chuck) Anderson, Howard (Mary) Mead, Debbie (Jim) Piazza, Barry Mead, and Danette (Jim) Young; his aunt, Sharon Mead; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Joyce and Scotty and the entire Riley family.

Preceded in death by his father, Howard Mead, Sr.

Jim was an auto mechanic at G & M Auto in Rockdale, and he enjoyed working on cars especially Chevy muscle cars. He was a devoted family man and loved spending his time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to his family would be 1appreciated.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vitas Hospice for their dedication and loving care.

Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 6:30 pm at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life. Interment private.
