James M. Kale

James M. Kale, age 81, at rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 with his loving family surrounding him.
Survived by his loving children, Janice Kale Susner, Tom (Angela) Kale and David Kale; Grandchildren Jenn and Kevin Susner, Brian and Shannon Kale.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Maryann (nee Mance) Kale; his parents Michael and Betty (nee Kirvjanick) Kale.
James was in the United States Army and was a proud Korean War Veteran. He was an avid parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. James retired from Commonwealth Edison after 38 years of service, and enjoyed regular Friday luncheons with retired friends. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching nature while spending his summers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. James was a member of the Senior Citizens Association and enjoyed going on trips with fellow members. He was a founding member of the CECO Recreation Club and Cantigny Post #367.
Funeral services for James M. Kale will begin on Monday, June 24, 2013 with family and friends gathering at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
