James E. Golden Age 70. After a valiant battle against several illnesses Jim passed away peacefully in Carlsbad, CA on July 11, 2011 with many loved ones by his side. Survived by his wife Winona (nee Earler), 3 sons: James, Thomas (Michelle), and Scott Golden, 2 grandchildren: Thomas and James ""J.P"", one brother, Brendan (Lucy) Golden. Also Winona"s children: the late (5-17-11) Ray (Cynthia) Foreman, Cyndee (Rankin) McDaniel and their children Ross Foreman and Devin McDaniel. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his parents Brendan and Megan Golden, his wife Janet (nee Ludden) Golden and his sister Anne (nee Golden) O"Malley. Jim was born on the south side of Chicago and resided in Joliet most of his life. He volunteered for the draft in 1960 and served 2 years active and 2 years non-active in the United States Army. Jim retired in 2005 from the Insulators Union Local #17 after 38 years of service. In lieu of flowers, Jim would have appreciated a donation to Don Hubert Fund. This fund will assist Pipe Coverers in Need and help further mesothelioma research. A celebration of Jim"s life will be on Friday, July 22, 2011, visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:30 pm at the Tezak Funeral Home, Joliet Illinois.
