James E. Golden
Age 70. After a valiant battle against several illnesses, James passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011.
Survived by his wife Winona, 3 sons: James, Thomas (Michelle), and Scott Golden; 2 grandchildren: Thomas and James ""J.P.""; one brother: Brendan (Lucy) Golden; also survived by Winona"s children Cyndee (Rankin) McDaniel, the late Ray (Cindy) Foreman and Winona"s grandchildren Devin McDaniel and Ross Foreman. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents Brendan and Megan Golden. A previous wife, Janet (nee Ludden) Golden. A sister, Anne O"Malley.
James was born on the south side of Chicago and resided in Joliet most of his life. He volunteered for the draft in 1960 and served 2 years active and 2 years non-active in the United States Army. James retired in 2005 from the Insulators Union Local #17 after 38 years.
A Celebration of James" life will begin at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the funeral home chapel. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of memorial service at:
