James P. Frieders (Jim), age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 with his loving family by his side.
Survived by his loving daughter Cynthia Frieders of Joliet; two sons Jeffrey (Connie) Frieders of Braidwood and Joseph (Susan) Frieders of Minooka; proud grandfather of Kyler, Jordyn, Danielle, Brodie and Kade Frieders; brother of Dorothy (late Eugene) Ingraham, Donald (late Pat) Frieders, Lois (late Bill) Curry, Joyce (Dan) Dore, John (Janet) Frieders; a special uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a true friend to many.
James is now reunited with his wife Joan (Krall) Frieders; parents Frank and Margaret Frieders; brother Richard Frieders and sister Audrey (Eugene) Weisbrook.
James was born in Aurora in 1937. He served our country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957 and retired from the carpenters local 174 in 1996. James married Joan (Krall) on June 3, 1961 and was blessed with 47 years with the love of his life.
James was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Joliet, the Knights of Columbus 382 and American Legion 1080. James worked hard all of his life and always provided for his family. He enjoyed time with his friends and family, teaching his children and grandchildren how to enjoy the little things in life, like watching a thunderstorm roll through, gazing at the evening stars and enjoying the outdoors either in his garden or on the lake. James will be deeply missed and proudly remembered by his family.

A Celebration of James FriedersA�?? life will begin on Thursday October 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
