James R. Black
Age 85. At rest suddenly Saturday December 3, 2011 at his late residence. James was born in Morris, Il and resided in Joliet for most of his life. He was a United States Navy veteran serving his country during World War II. He was the former owner of SportsmanA�??s Tap in Morris, eventually retiring from the LaborerA�??s Union Local #75. James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and great-grandfather. James was a good friend to many people, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 25 years, Lorraine (nee Mauzer) Black; his parents, and one sister.
Survived by his loving children; Linda (William) Linko, Joann (David) Lee, Arlene Delrose, and Robert Delrose; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Arrangements entrusted to:
