Age 91, at rest on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Survived by his son Frank (Sharon) Allocco; grandchildren Terry (Kathleen) and Tim (Paula) Allocco; great-grandchildren Rory, Troy, Nicholas and Blake Allocco; sisters Marie Moroz and Yolanda Bersano. Preceded in death by his wife Catherine (nee Costa) Allocco; parents Frank and Josephine (nee Capasso) Allocco; one brother Louis Allocco and one sister Florence Fazio. Retired from Gulf Mobile & Ohio Railroad and Illinois Central Gulf Railroad after 47 years of service. James is a lifetime member of The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Provena Villa Franciscan especially the staff of the Venetian Wing and the Provena Hospice.
The family of James Allocco would like to invite relatives and friends to St. Paul the Apostle Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Private interment services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
