Jacqueline M. Plankar “Aunt Jackie,” age 73, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
Jacqueline is survived by her two brothers, James (Karen) Plankar and Thomas Plankar; nieces and nephews, Dennis (Shayna) Plankar, Nancy (Michael) Siemienas, Susan (Jim) Pennell and Michael (Katie) Plankar; great-nieces and nephews, David, Kurt, Amanda, Erin, Max, Matthew, Ruthie, Patrick and Emily; dear friends, Mary Fran and Margaret Mali and Bev Meyer. Numerous cousins and friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. and Mary C. Plankar; and brother, Edward Plankar Jr.
Jackie was a lifelong resident of the Joliet area. She was a dedicated and very involved parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet. Jackie retired from the EJ&E Railroad after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a proud member of the 1962 Lockport Township High School “Music Man Marching Band.” Jackie always looked forward to her monthly meeting with her “Chaney Chicks” for lunch. She will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie’s name to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet would be appreciated.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will begin on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 with a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
There will be no funeral home visitation or services.
