Jacqueline Irene Francis, loving wife of the late Marvin Francis, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 in North Carolina with her loving family by her side.
She was born on September 30, 1933 in Joliet.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Irene (Skeldon) and Ole Vogen Sr.; twin sister, Joyce; and three brothers, Ole Jr., William and Leroy; as well as three sisters, Mildred, Virginia and Marjorie.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Barbara Brooks; and her three loving children, Daniel (Linda), Douglas (Connie) and Diane (the late Bill Wentzel); 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her blended family and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jackie lived in Ingalls Park most of her life, a graduate of Joliet Central High School as well as a member of the Ingalls Park United Methodist Church. She retired as a LPN from Silver Cross Hospital in the newborn nursery and hospice ward. Jackie also volunteered with the Joliet area band parents. She spent much of her retirement years camping with Marvin, her loving husband of 62 years and many friends and family. She loved to cook and have large gatherings at "The River," but her main talent was her ability to make people feel good and make sure everyone was having a good time. Sharing her endless love through time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that were involved in sporting events, band/choral concerts and church activities to name a few.
Jacqueline was laid to rest with her husband Marvin at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Funeral services were held at Tezak Funeral Home.
