Age 87 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at home with her family by her side.

Born May 15, 1933 in D’Hanis, Texas, Isidra was a daughter of Zeferino and Maria Luz (nee Leija) Gallegos. She was a longtime member of Damas de Guadalupe at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Sid’s enjoyments in life were going dancing and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sid is survived by her two daughters: Martha Gallegos Pedersen and Guadalupe Gallegos Kalebic (Brian Scully); grandchildren: Nina Kalebic (Nate Ortega), Harrison Pedersen (Kailey McMahan), Amelia Pedersen (Matthew Hall) and Victoria Linstead; great-grandson: Phillip Pedersen, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James K. McGuire; parents: Zeferino and Maria Luz; stepmother: Aurora; sisters: Trinidad Gallegos and Rosalie Palacios, and one brother: William Gallegos.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until time of closing prayers at 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.

Per Isidra's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
