At rest on August 10, 2007, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with her loving family by her side.
Survived by her children, Irene A. Orenic of Shorewood, IL and Robert (Jan) Worek of Channahon, IL; sister, Connie (Robert) Moore; grandchildren, Denise (Rick) Shroba, Stanley Kuta, Sandra (Mike) Davalos, Greg (Chris) Worek, Brad (fiance', Katie Ellis) Worek, and Bryan Worek; great grandchildren, Eric (fiance', Maureen Simon) Shroba, Kasey and Dylan Davalos, Tyler, Julia, Gregory and Emma Worek. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her father, Katon Dunajewski, her mother, Anna Smiegelski and her step-father, Walter Smiegelski; first husband, Stanley Kuta and her second husband, Stanley Worek; son Stanley (Phyllis) Kuta; great-grandchild, Scott Allen Shroba; brother, Alex (Theresa) Dunajewski; sisters, Agnes (late Frank) Gindovec, and Frances (Joseph) Nurczyk.
Retired as a seamstress at Hart Shaffner & Marx after 25 years of service. Past member of St. Thaddeus Church of Joliet, IL.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Irene's name would be appreciated.
From where services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Paul the Apostle Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 PM.
