Irene Szewczyk nee Czyzynski Age 95
At rest Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Our Lady of Angles with her family by her side. Survived by her children George (Truby) Szewczyk, and Elizabeth Bishop, dearest grandmother of Gregory (Meaghan) and Daniel (Natalie) Bishop, two great granddaughters, Molly and Allison Bishop, and other family in Krakow and Warsaw Poland. Preceded by her husband Eligiusz Szewczyk (1992) and twin children Joseph and Josephine, parents Frank and Janina (nee Bruziewicz) Czyzynski, two brothers Marian and John Czyzynski. Irene was born in Joliet moved to Poland in 1920 for 27 years and then returned to Joliet with her Father Frank in 1948. Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother and loved to cook for her family. Memorials to St. John The Baptist or Morning Star Mission will be appreciated.
