Ignatius was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (nee Graczyk), and son Clyde Korelc in infancy.
He is survived by two daughters: Beverly (Richard) Otto and Sandra Korelc.
Jerry was a very proud member of the International Union of Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 for 40 years. He was a United States Army Veteran and served during WWII in the European Theater of Operations. Jerry enjoyed cooking, polka music, playing his keyboard, creating visual art, and would often say he was A�??happiest with a hammer in one hand and a beer in the other.A�?i�� He will be remembered as a highly individualistic but loving father, uncle, brother-in-law and neighbor.
As per JerryA�??s request, there will be no services. The family requests if you wish to honor Jerry, make your donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository or Heifer International in his name.
