Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Johanna (Nee Polhorsky) Banas; four brothers, Charles, Joseph, Martin and Thomas Banas; stepbrother, Walter Sowa; sister, Mary Sula; and two step sisters, Molly Jankowski and Mary Czerkies. Ignatius was born in Joliet and a life long resident. He was a self employed musician for over 40 years with the Banas Brothers Orchestra.
