Humberto Trevino
Age 65 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Joliet Area Community Hospice with his family by his side.
Born April 18, 1954 in Reynosa, Mexico, Humberto was a son of Juan and Herminia (Guerrero) Trevino. Humberto was a devoted family man with great wisdom and honor, who loved to sing and study the bible. He was known for his homemade tortillas and enjoyed joking around and having fun. Humberto’s main passion was his family which whom he loved deeply. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Humberto is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gloria Huizar; children: Rosa (Israel), Juan Carlos (Crystal), Humberto, Jr, II, Omar, Fernando, Crystal and Priscilla (Omar); eighteen grandchildren; nine siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son: Humberto, Jr, I, grandson, Levi Valdez and brother, Sergio.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. A celebration of Humberto’s life will continue in the funeral home on Monday, January 6, 2020 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Humberto’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
