Hildegard E. Gierke
December 9, 1932 — March 10, 2015
Hildegard E. Gierke, age 82, entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 with her loving family by her side.
Hildegard is survived by her loving children, Eileen (Robert) Borgo and Michael (Darla) Gierke; four cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth (Josh) Jachna and Matthew Borgo, Ryan and Jared Gierke; cherished great-granddaughter, Annabelle Jachna; dear sister, Christel (Ernest) Gier; dear brother, Manfred (Cathy) Klemm; sister-in-law Waltraut Klemm; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Rudie W. Gierke; parents, Karl and Auguste Klemm; brothers, Waldemar, Horst (Christa), and Siegfried Klemm; and one sister in infancy.
Hildegard retired from AT&T after 20 years of employment. She will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield for the wonderful care provided.
Per Hildegard’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Services private.
