Hilario M. Tobias

Hilario M. Tobias, age 73, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Joliet Area Community Hospice with his loving family by his side.
Hilario is survived by his loving wife, Teresa (nee Almazan) Tobias; children, Marina Tobias, Graciela (Jorge) Carbajal, Elvira Tovias, Maria Teresa Tobias, Jose A. (Alba E.) Tobias and Daniel (Nichole) Tovias; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ramona Tobias, Ofelia Gomez, Maria De La Paz Guevara; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mateo and Felicitas (nee Martinez) Tobias and brother, Heriberto Tobias.
Hilario was born in Mexico and later migrated to the United Sates in 1965. He was a hard worker and a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Hilario will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Hilario’s life will begin on Saturday, November 4, 2017 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. then driving in procession to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet, IL. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road – Joliet, IL) from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
