Age 97, at rest Wednesday December 26, 2007 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Survived by his beloved wife of twenty-seven years, Judith A. (nee Papesh) Philbert. Loving father of Phyllis J. Stuebing, dearest grandfather of Sheila (Ron) Stempien, Pamela (Mike) Gorcowski, Nancy (Bruce) Bauswell, Phillip (Kim) Stuebing, five great-grandchildren Jennifer (Nathan) Foster, Paul and Matthew Stempien, Max and Adam Gorcowski, two great-great-grandchildren Mikalah and Jonathan Foster, one brother-in-law Hans (late Lillian) Person also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by son Henry William Philbert; 1st wife Imogene (nee Frazier) Philbert, great-granddaughter Imogene Helen Stempien; parents Gertrude and Frank Dierking, two sisters Margaret (Late Cline) Ford and Lillian Person .
Henry was born in St. Louis, MO., but has resided in Lockport for the past 50 years. Retired from Argonne National Labroratory; worked at Lockport Lanes Bowling Alley and was an avid bowler. Master Sgt. in the U.S Air force for twenty-five years serving in WWII. Member of the St. Joseph Neo-Catechumenal Way.
Tezak"s Home to Celebrate Life
From where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-5 PM.
