Helen E. Nordstrom

Helen E. Nordstrom, age 91, of Joliet, passed away August 1, 2012. Born on November 19, 1920 to Mary and Michael Metesh.

Preceded in death by her husband Forrest; one grandson David; four sisters and five brothers.

Survived by three daughters Georgene (Richard) Webb, Lynn (Cyril) Gura and Debra (Michael) Morrow; seven grandchildren Dan (Sharon) Mueller, Dana Mueller, Steven (Michele) Gura, Jennifer (Paul) Kincaid, Adam (Lauren) Gura, Erin (Conor) Burke and Terry (Amy) Morrow. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was a wonderful stay at home mom. She was a dancer in her younger years and could still dance with the best of them for many years. She was a great seamstress and always dressed her three girls and herself in the most beautiful dresses. She was always there for her family and we have many, many happy memories. Helen was the best mom ever and she will be missed so very much, but we know she and Forry are dancing in heaven together now, and she has been reunited with all her loved ones that have gone before.

A Celebration of HelenA�??s life will begin on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
