Heather Marie Calandra (nee Stworzyjanek), aged 41, passed away on May 26, 2024. Heather was born the daughter of Walter Stworzyjanek and Janet Stworzyjanek (nee Hart) on March 5, 1983 in Joliet, IL.
Heather was a born swimmer. She took to the water as though it were her natural home. Whether swimming, boating, tubing, or the like, when Heather was in the water, she was happy. In fact, if there was one thing that Heather loved more than being in the water, then it must have been being anywhere with her son Tyler. She was a loving and devoted mother who, as mother’s often will, would gladly trade her own comfort to ensure the comfort of her child. In this moment, Heather is unable to provide the comfort that Tyler has been able to count on for his entire life, but those that loved Heather will step in and do their best to soften the significant blow that this loss carries. In her free time, Heather loved to create pieces of art through crafts. There will be many of her creations available to view at her visitation, but these will still only represent a tiny fraction of all the beautiful pieces that she has created over the years. She loved to travel to visit friends near and far, often bringing them a unique piece of jewelry or stunning wreath for them to keep. In this manner, she has left little pieces of herself with those that she cared for most in this world. When she wasn’t cruising down the road on a Harley, you could be sure to find Heather dutifully watching the NASCAR drivers cruise around the track almost every weekend. James, Tyler, Janet, Kyle, Steven and the many others too numerous to name who loved Heather in life, will do their very best to carry on her memory with love and appreciation for having shared in her life.
Heather was preceded in death by her father Walter, her grandparents Darcey and Theresa Molyneux, Walter and Genevive Stworzyjanek, and her aunt Patricia Iverson.
She is survived by her husband of thirteen years, James Calandra, her dear son Tyler Stworzyjanek, her devoted mother Janet, brothers Kyle and Steven Stworzyjanek, as well as many aunts, uncles, and other loved ones.
