Guy E. Mitchell ""Mitch"" Age 61, at rest Friday October 15, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital with his family and friends by his side. Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Anna M. (neeShaw) Mitchell, loving father of Colleen Mitchell, one sister Kathy, one brother-in-law John (Monica) Shaw. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by parents George and Anamae (nee Ray) Mitchell, father and mother-in-law John and Joanne (nee Zilka) Shaw, sister-in-law Joan Shaw. Guy was born in Joliet and a life long resident. He retired from Exxon Mobil Refinery, member of Northwest Recreation Club, past member of Galli"s A.C, Thirsty Night Golf League and was an avid White Sox fan. Guy always thought of his wife Ann, daughter Colleen and many friends before himself. He was a loving unselfish person and will be missed by all who new him.
A Celebration of Guy E. Mitchell"s Life will be held on Tuesday with a Chapel service at the funeral home at 10AM, Interment at St. Cyril Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8PM at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life.
