Gregory R. Soland, 57, of Joliet, passed away suddenly on October 19, 2011. Loving father of Ann Drew Soland and Samantha (Nick Rutyna) Soland; beloved grandfather of Alyssa Katelyn Jimenez and Alexandra Nicole Soland; dear brother of Kevin (Nancy) Soland, Kimberly Soland, and Timothy Soland; also survived by many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A�??PeggyA�?i�� Ann Soland nee Mihelich, his son Joseph Soland in infancy, and his parents Raymond and Patricia Soland.
Greg retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, he was an avid lover of bowling, and he also enjoyed spending his free time with his granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Nativity Educational Endowment Fund, 706 Broadway Street, Joliet, IL 60435.
A Celebration of GregA�??s life will begin on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 10 am at St. Mary Nativity Church, Joliet, IL with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be held privately. Memorial visitation will be on Monday from 4 A�?? 8 PM .
