Gregory Arness Brooks

Gregory Arness Brooks, age 46, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Stephanie Brooks; children, Jessica Lopez, Arness Brooks, Alex Lopez and Ella Brooks; grandson, Jayden Jones; mother, Brenda (nee Parish) Brooks; siblings, Anthony (Tara) Brooks and Kevin Brooks/ Amy Tibble; special aunt, Annette Parish; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Gregory Brooks; and grandfather, Lamar Parish.
Gregory loved working in his yard and took pride in how it looked. His most recent employment was by Exxon Mobil. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching them play. He enjoyed being around his family and spending time with them. Gregory will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Gregory’s life will begin on Saturday, March 25, 2017 with a visitation at St. John Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no cemetery procession or services. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
