Grace R. Ryan

Grace Rita Ryan Age 90. The kindest lady who walked this earth, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 17th 2011, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice Home in Joliet. Born November 2nd, 1920 in Joliet, IL to the late William and Clara (nee Lambert) Ryan. Also preceded by her two brothers, William Sr. (Betty) and Henry Ryan, beloved sister Lois (Howard ""Kayo"") Rub, stepmother Helen Kurtz, three nephews, Howard Rub Jr., Michael Rub and John ""Butch"" Rubocki. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Sandra Rub of Joliet, Billie Mae (Mike) Franzen of Tucson, AZ., Clara ""Kookie"" (Ron) Chovan of Shorewood, Mary (Rich) Reiter of Osprey, FL., Patricia (Dave) Nuetzmann of Joliet, Raymond (Katy) Rub of Shorewood, LeAnn (Rub) Bruner of Dwight, William Ryan Jr. of Missouri, Kathy (Ryan) Chambers of Oregon, Ryan (Carina) Okabe and Kevin Okabe of CA. and half sister Margaret (late Shoji) Okabe of CA., also numerous Great and Great-Great nieces and nephews. Grace retired from Deaton Kennedy Co. in 1999 after 59 years of faithful service. The family would like to thank Grace"s loving caregiver Lidiya and all the wonderful people from Hospice. Prayer services will be Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 at 9:15AM from the funeral home to St. Jude Catholic Church, 2212 McDonough in Joliet for a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM. Internment at St. John Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. For additional information please contact:
