Glenn E. Steed

Age 42. Passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Survived by his devoted wife Susan M. (nee Strysik) Steed; his loving child-to-be; parents Glenn Sr. and Judy (nee Richards) Steed; one sister Jennifer (Brian) Allen; one brother Brian (Joanne) Steed; father and mother-in-law Edward and Kathy Strysik; brothers-in-law Edward (Marlene), Doug and Steve Strysik; sisters-in-law Tiffany (John) Bolek and Sarah (Chris) Bosi. Also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a myriad of friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents Albert (Myrtella) Steed and James (Valerie) Richards. Glenn attended Joliet Catholic High School and University of Illinois (at Chicago). Employed for over 15 years by Hendrickson-International, in Woodridge, as a Program Manager. Glenn enjoyed running in numerous marathons, playing in pool leagues, and was an active volunteer for numerous charities. Glenn was a dedicated mentor to many. He was an avid fan of film and music. Glenn"s greatest love was his family and friends. Prayer services will be at the funeral home on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:30 AM then to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow. Visitation and a celebration of Glenn"s life will be on Wednesday from 3-8 PM.
