Gladys L. Hylka (Togliatti), 66 years, loving wife and dear mother, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 27, 2017 while visiting family on vacation in Gordon, WI.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Hylka; two sons, Jerry and Robert Hylka; her mother, Gladys Togliatti; one sister-in-law, Roberta Beaudoin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her father, Camillo Togliatti; one sister, Colette Togliatti; and one brother, Charles Togliatti.
Resided in Elwood, IL., she was born in Lemont, a graduate of Lemont High School in 1969. Gladys loved taking care of her family and their pet dog. She loved the outdoors especially fishing and bird-watching.
Funeral services for Gladys L. Hylka will begin on Saturday, September 2, 2017 with a prayer service in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. then driving in process to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Road - Joliet, IL).
