Geraldine E. (Rimmke) Nurczyk

Geraldine E. Nurczyk (nee Rimmke), age 95, at rest on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Geraldine is survived by Delmar Miller, John L. (Nancy) Nurczyk and Robert (Gwen) Nurczyk; grandchildren, Michael (Adriane) Miller, JoAnne Mata and Sean (Cristi) Miller, Amy (Terry) Barnes, John (Danae) Nurczyk and Lisa Nurczyk, Leigh Ann (Steve) Sykes and Adam Nurczyk; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, John Nurczyk (2006); parents, Arthur Rimmke and Lucille (nee Houlle) Jaeger; son, Donald Nurczyk (2016); brother, Arthur Rimmke Jr.

Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Joliet and a longtime member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Joliet. She was a LPN working at serval local nursing homes. Geraldine and her husband were avid campers with the Hi-Lo Club. She was a diehard Chicago Cubs and Anthony Rizzo fan. She was an avid sports fan and was her children and grandchildren’s number one fan. Geraldine loved going to all of their sporting events to watch the game. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Geraldine’s life will begin on Monday, October 25, 2021 with a visitation at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Joliet from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
