Gerald D. "Jerry" Stewart

Gerald D. Stewart, Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2015 with his loving family by his side.
Gerald is survived by his loving children, Gerald D. (Karen) Stewart Jr. and Julie (fiancAC. Greg Noble); cherished grandchildren, Patricia, Katrina, Nicholas, Annie, Brandon, Emily, and Rebecca; cherished great-grandchildren, Joshua, Diana, and Rylynn; special nephew, Jeffery David Wayne Stewart; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jeffery and Matilda (nee Culek) Stewart; brothers, Jeffery, Ronald, and James Stewart; and sisters, Ruth Daily and Doris Andrews.
Jerry served proudly in U.S. Navy. Jerry was a loving father and grandfather who always tried to do the best he could for his family.
A Celebration of Jerry's life will begin on Monday, August 17, 2015 with a committal service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at 11:30 a.m. where Military Honors will be conducted. Family and friends to meet at the cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Per Jerry's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be NO visitation or services at the funeral home.
