George Zdralevich

George Zdralevich, age 74, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, September 22, 2017.
George is survived by his loving wife, Delores “Dee” Zdralevich (nee Seal); daughter and son-in-law Wendy (nee Walsh) and William Mullen; son, Thomas Walsh; brother, Joseph Jr. (Kathy); sister, Mary Kay George; grandchildren, Tiffany (John), Kevin (Krystal), Sara, Jamie, Kelly, William, Michael, and Sara; great-grandchildren, Jake, Abby, Kailey, Khristopher, Emma, Lily; nieces, Rebecca (Kenneth) Velasquez and Kelly (Michael) Carlson; nephews, Matthew (Barbara) Aharrah, Ryan George, and Joseph (Kelly) Zdralevich III; George will also be missed by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Jane (nee Garden) Zdralevich; and brother-in-law, Richard George.
George was a longtime member of the Joliet Ski Club. He enjoyed water skiing, racquetball, golf, and pheasant and duck hunting with family and friends. George was an owner of the Merichka’s Family Restaurant and a storyteller extraordinaire.
The family would like to thank the Joliet Area Community Hospice staff for their wonderful caregiving. A special thanks to Carrie and Vivica for their commitment to George’s family and for comforting George as he made his final journey.

A celebration of George's life will begin with a memorial visitation on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel followed by a service to honor and celebrate George's life. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Tezak Home (1211 Plainfield Road – Joliet, IL).
