At rest on Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Survived by one sister Ann (late Joseph) Franciskovich and one brother Stephen (late Kathleen) Popovich; three grandchildren Jennifer Blazekovich, Bob and Scott Popovich a dear and faithful friend Rita Willard. Preceded in death by his son Robert Popovich; parents Rudolph and Anna (nee Glogovski) Popovich; one brother Robert Popovich and two sisters Olga Popovich and one in infancy. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and CNA's. God bless. Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the European Theatre during WWII. Worked at Champion Machinery and Barrett Hardware. George was also a lifetime member of the Stone City Post. George"s family would like to thank the nurses and CNA"s for the good care and attention given to George. God Bless.
Private Funeral Services were held. Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
